NORTHOP   8   BRICKFIELD RANGERS  4

After a 6 month gap between games Brickfield came up against a very strong and well drilled Northop. On a very hard Northop pitch in warm conditions Northop took control and scored an early goal but Sparky Ray hit back with the goal of the game by taking the ball on his chest and unleashing a left foot volley. By half time it was 3-1 but an early penalty in the second half from Mark Green gave Bricky hope. This was dampened on the hour mark as Northop scored 4 quick goals as fitness began to tell. Chris Jones and debutant Ian Evans scored either side of another Northop goal to finish the scoring.

A good turnout of 16 players gives Brickfield something to build on with hopefully regular training sessions and the chance of games against local teams if any clubs are interested out there.
